The short version: Engineer by training, marketer by craft, technologist at heart, teacher through sharing what I learn..

I've been writing software since 1995. My first job was building real-time image processing software in C++. After that I spent close to seven years as Director of R&D at Quark, leading engineering teams and building products at scale.

Somewhere in there, I got curious about the business side — how do you actually get people to use and buy what you build? That curiosity turned into ChalkPad Technologies, an Education ERP company I co-founded in 2008.

In 2015, I started A Billion People with one belief that hasn't changed since: data doesn't lie.

Whether it's organic or paid, every marketing decision I make is backed by what the numbers actually say, not by what sounds clever in a pitch deck. Ten years later, that agency has become the base for my consulting, training, and course-development work.

Teaching found me almost by accident, and it's become one of the parts of my work I care about most. I currently lead the Executive Programme in Digital Marketing at IIM Indore and the Digital Marketing & Analytics programme at ISB.

Most recently, I started Inbox Pros, a done-for-you cold email marketing solution — because I got tired of watching businesses write off cold email as spam when done right, it's one of the most profitable channels available.

I don't believe in doing things because everyone else is doing them. I believe in measuring what works, teaching it simply, and doing it again.
